Harding County courthouse

Welcome

We welcome you to the Harding County jury system. Jury service is a duty, a privilege, and a right guaranteed by the South Dakota and United States Constitutions. If you have questions about jury service, you can obtain a pamphlet on jury duty from the Clerk of Courts (375-3351). We will also assist you in any way we can.

Jury Questionnaire

Because you have been summoned as a prospective juror, you must sign and return your questionnaire to the Clerk of Courts. You may either complete the hard copy questionnaire you received with your Summons or you may complete the questionnaire online by going to Juror Questionnaire. Completion of the questionnaire does not mean that you will ultimately serve. The questionnaire just indicates that you have received the Summons, and it provides the parties some information about you.

Dates to Report for Jury Duty

You were selected at random from a master jury list comprised of the Harding County Voter Registration and the South Dakota Drivers License list. You have been assigned to a one-year term. You will receive a letter one-week prior to when you must serve as to the specific time you will need to appear.  You will also be given further instructions on using the web site or when to phone the Clerk's office.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Clerk of Courts by calling 375-3351.

We look forward to your service.

Thank you,

Michael W. Day

Circuit Court Judge
